Modular houses

What are modular homes?

Modular houses are structures that consist of one or more stages or modules. The sections of the modular house are individually manufactured in the factory. The house is delivered to the plot of land where the building will be installed as a ready-made object or as a set of objects – the modules are assembled on site into one structure with the help of inter-module connections. The modules can be connected in different ways – depending on the wishes and needs of the customer – side by side, in front or one above the other. Modular houses are characterized by the possibility to add additional stages over time. Depending on the size of the house, the installation process is usually completed within a few days. Modular houses comply with high construction and safety standards and are created for Latvian climatic conditions.

MAIN ADVANTAGES OF MODULAR HOUSES

Short construction period

Building a house, setting up a construction site and creating infrastructure can be done simultaneously, saving time. Installation of a ready-made module on the construction site takes from a few hours to a few days, depending on the area and complexity of the building. During the construction of modular houses, it is possible to work on the floors, walls and ceilings of the building at the same time. Of course, this cannot be started in the full-cycle construction on site – the walls are built after the floor and ceiling have been fully formed, only when the walls are finished. Thus, the production process for modular houses is significantly reduced compared to traditionally built houses. Time is also saved by the weather factor – since the production of houses takes place indoors, it is not affected by adverse weather conditions.

Lower costs

The main advantage of a modular house is that the construction requires much smaller financial investments than brick or other structures. In the factory, buildings of this type are made almost completely ready, and there is less risk that the construction process could cause unexpected expenses or surprises. Due to the rising prices of building materials and labor costs, it is becoming more and more expensive to build traditional houses. When choosing a modular house, the customer has a greater opportunity to fix the costs at the time of ordering by concluding a purchase contract for a fixed price and expected final product at the time of purchase. If the house is built on a construction site, instead of choosing a modular house option, not only the planned house costs, but also the costs that will have to be spent on providing another place to live while the new house is being built, must be taken into account. The production and assembly time of the modules is short, so it is possible to save on costs related to the builders and the rental of the necessary equipment, if it is needed.

High quality

The modular houses we produce meet high construction and safety standards and are created for the climatic conditions of Latvia. The quality mainly depends on the professionalism, experience and materials of the masters. “Your dream house” is operated by professional and experienced craftsmen. Our company cooperates with leading manufacturers, using high-quality, long-lasting and individually tailored materials. Modular homes must meet specific regulations, guidelines and building codes that often exceed those of traditional homes. When considering buying a modular home, do your research first – not all companies that manufacture this type of home are the same. There can be significant differences in quality, price and services provided.

What else?

ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Modular houses are built with modern solutions to be energy efficient. It is also possible to live in this house in winter and avoid heat loss. The energy efficiency of modular homes is also carefully considered, using, for example, recyclable materials, LED lighting and solar panels.

AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY SOLUTION
In the house production process, the amount of surplus building materials is reduced to a minimum, because the required amount of materials determined by the house project is clearly known. The construction process is also environmentally friendly, as it does not leave any impact – neither physical nor noise pollution on the environment at the location of the house.
